Chapter 6: Satan

Paralyzed with fear, his mind swirled in confused terror- his eyes transfixed on the drool. Deep dark green, almost black, it oozed from the open jaws and dropped in long slimy strings to the ground where it pooled and bubbled. The fangs were dirty, the breath foul. The bearded thing spoke slowly, with haunting horror, its voice reverberating like a kettle drum, played by the long dead.

Again it called his name, like a whisper coming from a graveled throat that relishes to swallow the souls of the filthy, the stupid, and the weak. Another stringy glob of spit rolled from the tongue and fell from the repulsive lips, while the beady red eyes glowed, alive with the fires of hell.

Mesmerized and immobile, the boy commanded his feet to run, to flee, but to no avail. The legs did not respond. Gripped in tremors of terror he could do no more than stare aghast at the fetid apparition of death.

The creature moved, its long snaky tail switching erratically and thrashing the floor, as a cat transfixed on a mouse. Flames flashed from the bloody eyes and seemed to embrace the petrified lad, lighting his face with a new and imminent destiny. The ugly gnarled claws groped the scene in morbid anticipation, hungry for the kill.

Then in an instant, the ghostly dog-haired creature seized his stricken prey. Pouncing from two powerful legs, it gripped the boy in foul torment. The flesh was stripped from his bones to the serenade of shrieks and the cries of dying innocence.

In a moment the young man was gone, devoured, and his frail soul dispatched to an eternity of horror unconsumed, and the anguish of repentant cries unheard. With the cold intensity of a professional assassin, the huge matted specter turned to the shadows and growled something disdainfully, seemingly in Latin. Then he was gone.

There, in the shadows . . . it moved again. Previously unnoticed, he was a little old man, who paced anxiously to and fro, wringing his thin withered hands and muttering to himself. Like a portly elf with a heavy burden, the hapless gnome whined, “If only he had chosen me, perhaps I could have saved him.”

Obviously upset, the little hobbit seemed to struggle with some unseen foe, his face gaunt with the pain of failure. “That poor beautiful boy,” he continued, “if only his free will had chosen Jesus, then he wouldn’t have had to be sent to the flames of hell. Now his soul will have to be made immortal so that he can live forever, only to rot in the stench of Satan’s stomach, like some piece of undigested beef. And there he will be a billion years from now, perpetually mollified in the hot gaseous belch of Satan, in asbestos underwear, stewing in the lake of fire for all eternity, and repenting of his momentary error.”

Ah yes, the effeminate wimpish troll suddenly looked familiar. That fat little worried impotent creature is the god of Religious Organized Nominal Christianity. Sadly, he had lost yet another beautiful victim to the fearsome, overwhelming power of Satan.

This ridiculous fantasy is the repugnant dribble foisted off today on the people of God. Every Sunday you can hear this same verbalized religious garbage, manufactured by the carnal mind, and fed to the gaggle of lobotomized religious proselytes who have not forsaken to gather themselves together.

If you have believed this stuff, get out of your church and run for your life. This is the deification of Satan, peddled by the hirelings who do not know God. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. They desire only to shake the money from your pockets, and suck the life from your bones. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Flee this slithering harlot and seek an intimate, personal relationship with your Heavenly Father.

Contrary to the thinking of Organized Christianity, God is the maker and sustainer of every created thing. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. Every physical being and spirit creature in the universe bows to the will and wisdom of God. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

Satan is not a god. Satan is an angel, created and sustained by God. I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me. Satan is the work of God, a hand-crafted instrument, a tool in the Master’s hand. Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. Satan is a created being who does the bidding and pleasure of his master with the alacrity of a trained circus seal. Though mighty in power and deed, yet he is held and controlled within the sovereign grip of God, and all his works contribute to the eternal purposes of God. Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

The birth of God’s spiritual children requires that they be perfected in an environment of good & evil. This is the only climate that can instigate the birth of agape-love. If your life was awash in syrupy goodness, without the experience of evil, your spirit could never come to maturity.

Because of this, the administration of God’s evil is of extreme importance. To bring forth a mature spirit, evil must be displayed on the earth and applied to your life in precise doses and according to exacting schedules. This critical task could be entrusted only to a supernatural creature of superlative capacity. Thus God selected Lucifer, one of the seven archangels, to become the Vice-President of Evil on earth. Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Lucifer was an angel of superior workmanship, a droid of the finest quality. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Lucifer was created and educated by God. Then by the wisdom of God, he was turned to manifest the evil that had always been kept hidden, deep inside the mind of his mentor. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

When his mission as the V-P of Evil was to begin, God simply fitted Satan with a delusion. For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. Satan’s mind became clouded with misconceptions that were useful to the plan of God. Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness.

Satan was given the mind of a beast. He became deceived by his own beauty, and was converted to the evil purposes of God. “Lucifer” (the Shining One) became “Satan” (the Adversary). How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground!

By the power of God, Satan was deceived, and then acted on his new found hallucination. And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels. But Satan’s battle plan had been prepared by God. Satan’s power is sustained by God. There is no conflict in existence that has not been orchestrated by the wisdom of God. Thus all Satan’s actions are in accordance with the purpose of God. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Since the Sons of God were to be born on planet earth, Satan was dispatched to earth and incarcerated on this solitary orb. All the evil of Satan is limited to the creatures of planet earth. The prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

The arrival of Satanic evil on earth was a necessary prerequisite in God’s plan. I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is. Satan’s presence on earth, even all his evil intentions, are a required element in the production of the Sons of God. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down [to the earth]. ... And they overcame him [on the earth] by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Jesus Christ and his brothers could only be perfected in a furnace of affliction; this is the plan of God. For this cause Satan was placed on the earth. Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. Adam was then formed from the dust of the earth, and Satan was instructed to eat this dust. And the LORD God said unto the serpent, ... upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life.

Your Adamic life on earth is “snake food,” for Satan has been granted entry into your fleshly, fallen, Adamic nature. Satan works through this nature, attempting to destroy your spirit. By this he acts as a powerful adversary for the heirs of eternity.

God has specially selected your spirit for this hands-on education. That is why you now exist on this planet. God intends that your spirit will gain the personal experience of good and evil. As your spirit overcomes evil, it will grow to maturity. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope. By the wisdom of God, all this conflict has been purposed for the perfecting of his own offspring. Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

All good and all evil originates from your Heavenly Father. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. Satan was placed in charge of God’s evil as a figurehead. He was given great power and authority. Him that had the power of death, that is, the devil. But all his power is derived by God’s permission. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Satan’s authority is granted by God and thus it is not disputed, even by other angelic beings. Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Satan has been granted a kingdom of six thousand years. During this time he will rule the earth, pretending he is God. With ferocious power, he will rob, kill, and destroy. The devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. For his ministers of court, Satan was given a third of the angels, deluded as their new master. And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth.

Never before has the creation of God seen rebellion, sin, or death. It has existed for eons in the sublime peace of God’s goodness, and this is all its creatures have ever known. Satan’s administration of God’s evil is for the education of men and angels. Satan is an educational performance for the creatures of God. He is a required experience for the Sons of God. These are the heavenly kings that shall be born on planet earth, and all by the wisdom of their Heavenly Father. I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.

Satan’s Devices

The devices of Satan are numerous and effective. They include selfishness, irresponsibility, doubt, pride, bitterness, demonic oppression & possession, and organized religion. These seven topics are discussed below.

Selfishness is the Satanic energy of the carnal mind. Working through the carnal mind, Satan attempts to manipulate all your desires so that they orbit self-gratification. A life spent entirely in self-gratification is in actuality, Satan’s path to spiritual suicide. “Selfishness” is the belief that Satan’s way is best. For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's.

Every evil desire of man is originated from selfishness. This urge to be self-serving can be as subtle as worldliness, or as blatant as gross sin. In any case, selfishness is a Devilish power that is designed to destroy your body and spirit. By selfishness, people are injected with an almost insurmountable urge to serve Satan. They become seduced by this Satanic desire and then act on it as though it were real. Soon they are willing to abandon all that is good in their lives.

The depraved and wicked works of man are done not by constraint, but willingly and gladly. In the diseased servitude of Satanic selfishness people rush to satisfy overwhelming compulsions for their particular brand of evil. They thrill and revel in the energy of hell. Even calling it “love,” they express the mind of Satan, and their lives spring into desecration.

Selfish desire produces a living death of self-destruction, fueled by justifications, lies, and accusations. Those who become seriously infected are reduced to confused pathetic droids, addicted to the evil that will soon destroy them. But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

Because self-justification is always present, selfishness is a reclusive executioner, cloaked always in denial and self-deception. It is more easily identified by the presence of its more visible companions, which are pride, resentment, accusation, and ingratitude. These emotions betray an entirely selfish motive. They are symptoms of underlying desires which are unlawful or unprofitable. For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

Selfishness can be seen in the betrayal of Jesus. There Satan worked through Judas’ carnal mind to produce a selfish desire. As Judas’ mind became enslaved to Satanic selfishness, his spirit was overwhelmed with the fraud of self-justification. Judas believed that he wanted his own way, but actually he wanted Satan’s way. Seduced by this deception, Judas failed miserably and gave his name as the synonym for treachery. And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

The eradication of selfishness must become the central effort in your drive for spiritual maturity. This is accomplished as your carnal mind is crucified. In the garden of Gethsemane, Jesus Christ demonstrated this. Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. “My will” is the carnal mind, the seat of Satanic selfishness. “Thy will be done,” is the crucifixion of this selfish, self-centered, adversarial purveyor of death.

Turn your thoughts abruptly away from every desire for self-will. Abandon every craving for the accumulation of compliments, human approval, sensual gratification, and temporal wealth. Fill your life instead with a desire to please God. Start giving all your energy to the lawful relationships in your life: your spouse, children, and parents. And whosoever of you will be the chiefest, shall be servant of all.

Immovable dedication to these simple ideas will disarm selfish desire and eventually produce in you the beauty of a mature and immortal spirit. Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

Irresponsibility is the lack of self-control and a kinsman to selfishness. If you are selfish, you embrace Satan. If you lack self-control, you yield to him.

When you are irresponsible, your spirit abdicates its authority to rule your actions. It is not that you have actually done something wrong, but rather, that you have failed to do something right. Irresponsible people have refused to become proactive in their lives and in the lives of their loved ones. This apathy is Satan’s device to minimize his opposition. And once you become apathetic, Satan is always there, patiently waiting to take charge.

Earthly life is replete with responsibilities. They exist in marriage, family, children, business, and spiritual relationships. Marriage comes with responsibility. Be not depriving one another, unless perhaps by consent for a season, that ye may have leisure for prayer, and again may be together. Lest Satan be tempting you by reason of your want of self-control. 1 Corinthians 7:5 (Emphasized). Family comes with responsibility. If any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Children also come with responsibility. These words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. Business comes with responsibility. For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags. And God comes with responsibilities. Give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall.

Failure in any of these responsibilities is “irresponsible,” and will result in the success of Satan. If your spirit does not control your actions, then your Satanic carnal mind will. You must force yourself to do the right thing, at all times, regardless of the cost. This will make you a responsible person and bring you to the spiritual goals that you seek. Adding on your part all diligence, supply in your faith, excellence; And in your excellence, knowledge; And in your knowledge, self-control. 2 Peter 1:5,6 (Emphasized).

Satan himself was born in delusion- this is all he knows. Thus one of his principal tactics is deception, by the introduction of doubt. Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? Injecting an element of doubt into the word of God, and into your lawful relationships, is Satan’s standard procedure. If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down.

Doubt is only a seed. It is a grain of disbelief that can later germinate into a Satanic crop. The scoffing ideas of Satan never appear as massive and overpowering. Rather, they are always sown as kernels of half-truths. They look like harmless wheat, but they are actually lethal tares. Some of what Satan says is true, but his truth is always laced with arsenic. If you naively accept everything you hear, you will swallow Satan’s half truths, and poison yourself with doubt. While men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. ... The enemy that sowed them is the devil.

For the planting of doubt, Satan frequently enlists the aid of your acquaintances. When they find fault with your husband, wife, family, or Heavenly Father, they introduce doubt into your life. By sarcasm, criticism, and insincere questioning, they do the Devil’s work. If these seeds are left unchallenged, they will fester in your spirit. If they are nurtured by repeated contact, they will eventually swell into a full crop of mistrust for all you have believed in, even for God himself. Stop being led astray. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. 1 Corinthians 15:33. (Wuest).

Condemnation from your mortal friends is devilish. Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. You must examine their words carefully to discover the motives behind the rhetoric. For your life is not to be measured by the slander of your friends, but by the stature of your spirit. O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

The presence of doubt is the poisoning of faith and trust. The only antidote for this disease is an injection of truth. To repel the ravages of Satan’s doubt, leave nothing hidden or covered. Expose every nuance to the light of day. Try all your actions on the altar of self-confrontation. Analyze your motives. Give yourself to Godliness. Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering.

Then turn on the light of God’s word. Study your Bible. Test your beliefs with scripture, not doctrines. Challenge everything you hear and prove its validity on the touchstone of God’s truth. Leave no dark crevice where doubt can hide. Exercise faith and trust, and you shall defeat Satan’s poisonous pellets of doubt. I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

Earthly pride is a Satanic delusion, working through your carnal mind. It is the reassurance of Satan, telling you that your temporal efforts are a success. It is Satan’s solace, whispering that you are secure in his hands.

Pride is an arrogant self-esteem that results from a confidence in the works of the flesh. It is conceived in those that are carnal, and emanates from the erroneous belief that they are the source of their own blessing. What hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

This Satanic energy may germinate in your human attributes, such as your pedigree, appearance, or intellect. Pride may also take root in your human accomplishments, finding a foothold in your education, physical skills, or temporal wealth. All that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Pride can also flow from spiritual things, such as adolescent religious exuberance, or from an abundance of revelation. Not a novice, lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil.

In any case, pride in any earthly thing is Satan’s program for your destruction. It is a tactical diversion, a ruse to appease your carnality, while leaving your spirit in infancy. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Pride is never an acceptable emotion. In a person seeking Sonship, pride must be utterly replaced by gratitude. Be not highminded, but fear. God is the source of all your blessings, and this knowledge is the foundation of true gratitude. Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God. You can certainly be grateful for the work of God in your life, but you cannot take credit for it. By the grace of God I am what I am.

Your spiritual maturity will be apprehended, and Satan’s pride annulled, as you discount the physical things of your human existence. Do not let them alter your behavior, spiritual goals, or determination. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. Change your thinking to value only those experiences that contribute directly to your spiritual understanding and maturity. If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. This will drain the pride of Satan from your life, and vault you toward your true spiritual goal. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

Agape-love is the immortal and divine character of God. This love grows in you by the giving of forgiveness. As you give forgiveness, you become like God.

The trials of earth are designed to produce an environment where agape-love can flourish. As sins and afflictions come against you, you are afforded opportunities to forgive. As you forgive, agape comes to life in your spirit. Your spiritual progress absolutely demands that you forgive every offense that God allows to enter your day. Love (agape) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; ... it takes no account of the evil done to it pays no attention to a suffered wrong. 1 Corinthians 13:5 (Amplified).

Satan designs to prevent the birth of agape-love in you by the lethal injection of bitterness. In Satanic bitterness, your spirit is consumed with self-pity and revenge. Forgiveness becomes impossible, and the birth of agape-love is thwarted. You then still suffer through the same afflictions and heartaches, but you are denied the spiritual fruit that could come from them. Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.

Bitterness is execution by a Satanic grief from which there is no human escape. This enemy is defeated as you unconditionally forgive every offense. This forgiveness is not human. It is the divine character of God growing within you.

Don’t waste your time justifying your self-pity. Instead, count all your wrongs as having come from the superior wisdom of God. Set your resolve to give and forgive. Fix your goal on Christlikeness. Use heartache as an opportunity to produce agape-love in your spirit. Press on to achieve your own spiritual perfection, and attain the character of God. To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: ... lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Being controlled by destructive emotions is demonic oppression. These include selfishness, doubt, pride, and bitterness. To these you can also add envy, malice, lust, and immorality. Demonic oppression is analogous to Satan sitting in your car and telling you where to drive.

Demonic possession is similar, but more severe. In demonic possession, Satan throws you in the back seat and takes the wheel himself. Demonic possession occurs when a Satanic spirit inhabits a human body, taking control of the motor functions as well as the mind. Demonic possession is thus always evidenced by some physical malady or addiction. Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb.

Satan is a stage magician who attempts to seize press coverage by an occasional flamboyant display. For this cause, demoniacs always exhibit bizarre, self-destructive, physical behavior. Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

It is likely that demonic activity is more prevalent today than it was during Jesus’ time. The late 1990’s are certainly the tail-end of this dispensation, and Jesus said that these end times would be like the days of Noah and the days of Lot. In both of these cases, demonic activity was rampant. In Noah’s day the demons were having sex with the women; in Lot’s time, sex with the men. For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The human body was designed to be the dwellingplace of the Holy Spirit. Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? Satan hopes to preempt the Holy Spirit by moving in and occupying the physical body first. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

This cannot occur when the body is already occupied by the Holy Spirit. There is no Biblical record of demonic possession ever occurring in a Christian¾ there is no demon in existence that can move the Holy Spirit. To the contrary, Satan and all his minions step lively to obey the Spirit of God. They are commanded by the simple word of faith. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Demonic oppression and possession are easily averted and cured by the simple presence of the Holy Spirit. Fill your life with God’s Spirit and there won’t be any room for demons. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

The first person on earth ever to receive the full, true revelation of Jesus Christ, was the woman at the well. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he. After hearing this truth, this woman started the first Christian revival by sending her friends out to the well, to meet Jesus for themselves, personally, face to face. The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

This woman represents the true church of Jesus Christ, and she has no name. She is not Methodist, Baptist, Catholic, or any other. The true church does not gather people together; it simply points the way to Jesus Christ. This is her only valid function.

The true church is made of Godly people, not denominations. These people can have fellowship one with another, but their spiritual walks are independent paths, sovereignly directed by their Heavenly Father.

Modern Mega-Christianity with its denominationalism is just the opposite of the woman at the well. This draconian structure requires a fresh bloodstream to feed its insatiable desires. Through group dynamics, it calls the simple ones to obedience. For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. While this structure may still contain some true believers, most have abhorred her disease, and long since fled her empty pantry. Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

In the Revelation, Religious Organized Nominal Christianity is likened unto a woman, seated on a beast. The beast she rides is Satan’s great red dragon. And I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

Together these two have tried to market the power of God. They have amassed a fortune in earthly wealth, with all their business conducted under a veil of pretended innocence. Organized Christianity sells doctrines that will kill your spirit, while naming herself as beneficiary of your estate. And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus.

This whorish woman is easily recognized by her costly array. She does not teach the necessity of your crucifixion, but rather, she believes that gain is godliness. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication.

Her doctrines tolerate and pamper the Satanic carnal mind. She promises Prosperity and Rapture for her proselytes, but horrifying, unending Hell for those who spurn her flattering lips. She is subtle and smells sweet, always appealing to the natural man. Her teachings are designed to seduce those who will regularly visit her parlor. She offers them earthly pleasure and the fiction of heavenly joy. I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. Come, let us take our fill of love.

Like all charlatan salesmen, the organized churches promise something for nothing. They tell their members that “Salvation” is a momentary gift, rather than a process of gestation. They teach that Jesus did everything for you. They do not perceive the existence of Sonship, and believe that they have already attained spiritual maturity, when in fact they have only just begun. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all.

The organized church has inverted the truth of God. They believe in an all powerful Devil, and teach that evil and suffering are only pointless excursions in pain that might be avoided if you are good. They think that the cross has no purpose in your life. These ideas are Satan’s counterfeit for the carnal mind. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

The Bible teaches quite the opposite. It establishes the absolute sovereignty of God, and demands that you have an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It explains the begetting of spiritual Sons, and the growth of agape-love through the suffering of adversity. It promises all its treasures, only to those who have first slain their own carnality. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame.

Organized Christianity is Satan’s substitute. It is concerned only with church membership, spiritual infancy, and “self” preservation. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. She is a bloodthirsty harlot whose doctrines are sworn to derail your spiritual destiny. And the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born. It is a mind-numbing anesthetic to give you carnal comfort, while your spirit dies. For she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

When your church bell rings, it is calling you to the slaughterhouse. Your Sunday clothes, cookie, and brunch, cannot bring you to spiritual maturity. Get out of Organized Religion and go find God yourself, alone at the well, in the heat of your day. They shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.

Satanic War

The spirit of God that dwells in you seeks to please its Heavenly Father. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. But opposing your spirit is your carnal mind, which you inherited from Adam’s fall in Eden. These two are locked in a battle to the death.

The carnal mind is the seat of Satan in your life. Satan has been granted access to your thoughts through this portal. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Evil is energized by Satan through his agent, the carnal mind. This Satanic office, installed in fallen man, is the source of human sin. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning.

Your carnal mind and your spirit are at war, one with another. Through your carnal mind, Satan designs to destroy your spirit. When Satan energizes your carnal nature, your spirit must rise up to slay it. This will happen repeatedly, until all your carnality has been exposed and crucified. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other.

This is the maturing process for the Sons of God. Your spirit grows as it destroys your carnal mind and recaptures control of your faculties. When your carnal mind is fully obliterated, Satan will have no more entry into your life. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Those who accomplish this feat will become the Sons of God. They are victorious slayers of evil. These professional warriors will have been trained in the eradication of evil, having perfected it first in their own lives. They that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Your battle against Satan is not to rid evil from the world; all the evil of earth exists by the pleasure of God. Your goal is to rid evil from within you. Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

The war against Satan is a spiritual battle for control of your own mind and body- do not be sucked into any lesser struggle. The present conflict of the Sons of God is being waged for their own, internal, spiritual maturity. This quest is not a battle against governments or evil people. Your war is not external, but internal. It is not physical, but spiritual. Your battle is to attain your own spiritual maturity. This is accomplished as your spirit seizes control of your body, and crucifies your carnal mind. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.

The external battle against Satan is altogether different. It is a future event, reserved for those who will have already won the internal battle. Having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. After the Sons of God are perfected they will quickly and efficiently remove evil from the earth. They are the divine offspring of God, and the answer to every problem. A great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. If you wish to fight against the external evils in the universe, you must first earn a place in the Sons of God. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: and the LORD shall utter his voice before his army.

There is no physical ritual, doctrine, or church that can birth a Son of God in you. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. To bring forth your own maturity you must win a spiritual battle against your own carnality. Your battles today are an internal affair. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Accordingly, your weapons are not physical, but spiritual. You have been equipped with the ancient and proven weapons of true spiritual power. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. With these implements of war you can defeat Satan’s plan for your life. Without them, your spirit will die. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

About your waist, wrap the truth of God’s word. Though this truth may appear stranger than fiction, yet all that God has spoken shall become reality. Hold your position, then, with your waist encircled with the belt of truth. Cover your heart with self-control, to reduce your vulnerability. Put on right-doing as a coat of mail. Let your daily routine display the serenity of God’s presence. Put on your feet the preparation the good news of peace supplies. Invoke the power of faith, an unfaltering trust in the veracity of God. Faith will quench the flaming missiles of doubt. Besides all these, take on the shield which faith provides, for with it you will be able to put out all the fire-tipped arrows shot by the evil one. Limit the cravings of your mind to the quest for spiritual immortality. Take the helmet salvation provides. Strike down your enemies with the power of God’s word. And take the sword the Spirit wields, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:14-17 (Williams).

If you would defeat Satan, you are going to have to live in a state of continuous spiritual readiness. Even the best weapons are useless, if you are lulled to sleep or your eyes are dim. Victory requires vigilance. If you don’t see Satan coming, he will knock you down. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.

Prayer is the offensive weapon that prevents spiritual drowsiness. Every morning and every night, fall on your face to beg God for wisdom and understanding. Throughout your day beseech the heavens for the victory you seek. Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak. By this your spiritual senses will be honed to an edge, and your weapons will remain at the ready. Keep on praying in the Spirit, with every kind of prayer and entreaty, at every opportunity, be ever on the alert with perfect devotion and entreaty for all God’s people. Ephesians 6:18 (Williams).

Satanic attack will come first from your own carnal mind. Mankind is corrupted from within, not from without. Your carnal mind is Satan’s beachhead for the invasion of your life. By forays from this stronghold, he seeks to terminate your existence. All these evil things come from within, and defile the man.

Be alert for Satanic attack by scrutinizing your actions and motives. Start by guarding your mouth. The tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. Watch for words that are not conducive to spiritual purity. Unproductive words do not originate in your spirit, and you don’t want them. If you find yourself speaking unkind or amoral things, terminate them with prejudice. Give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. For some are already turned aside after Satan.

Satanic destruction is hatched in the heart. His energy will give birth to emotions. These false emotions produce desires for illicit, destructive behavior. Typically, they will make you deeply desire an activity that is ungodly, depraved, vile, or harmful. When you accept this desire as your own, you are caught unawares and disarmed. At first it will be masked by some justification, some thin veneer of respectability. But soon even the facade is stripped away.

Satan will make you “love” the messenger of your death. By Satanic desire you will find yourself courting the horror that is trying to kill you. Once you succumb, then with every beat of your fond fluttering heart, your blood is pumped out and your spirit embalmed. With new Satanic affection, you amble agreeably down the path to your own demise.

You can defeat these salvos by continuously analyzing your desires. You must constantly monitor your thoughts and feelings. Some of these are Satanic assassins, sent specifically to kill you. Treat all new desires as coming from an alien source. Before you admit any new desire into your heart, make certain that it meets the following requirements of the Two Step Desire Test. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

First, ask yourself if the desire is contrary to the Ten Commandments. If it is, cast this desire far from you, disown it and destroy it. It is from the Devil. If the new desire does not violate the Ten Commandments, then move on to step two.

The second test is to ascertain what the fruit of this desire would be. If this desire is accepted and acted upon, who will it glorify? If it will glorify God in your life you can probably keep it. But if its ultimate outcome would only encourage selfish carnality, then exterminate it. Let it never again take space in your thoughts.

You must retain only those desires that meet the conditions of both step one and step two. Make certain that each of your desires do not violate the Ten Commandments, and that their fruit will yield a harvest of Godly gratitude. Only these desires are right and wholesome. You can act on them, entrusting their success to the wisdom of your Heavenly Father.

When you encounter a new desire that fulfills both of these tests, tell your family, spouse, and parents. For there can be no shame in a desire that will glorify God in your spirit. Never keep secrets in your life. They are only a place for Satan to hide.

Be alert for “victim thinking.” Victim thinking is the desire for someone to save you, or for someone to blame. These thought processes were born in Eden, as Eve blamed the Serpent, and Adam blamed Eve.

Victim thinking is a symptom of carnality- it is an indication that you have lost touch with God’s sovereignty and love. It is normally accompanied by the destructive emotions of anger, bitterness, resentment, jealousy, and ingratitude. These executioners dethrone God and deify Satan. If these suddenly appear in your life, you are listening to a new voice. Get help and expose these lies for the evil impostors that they are. Let not the sun go down upon your wrath: neither give place to the devil.

The final tactic in your war against Satan is called, “Run, Repent, Confess.” When you discover destructive emotions or desires within yourself, you must run from them, repent of them, and confess them. Satan cannot be victorious in your life if you run from his presence, repent of his thoughts, and alert all your spiritual companions to his subversive deeds. These three are discussed below.

RUN. Satan controls the minds of most people. These people espouse victim thinking, or display destructive emotions. They are enslaved to Organized Christianity, or they practice behavior that flunks the Two Step Desire Test. In their state of Satanic oppression these people believe they are sincere, honest, and nice. But the energy that flows from them is the bile of spiritual death. The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not.

Do not spend time with these acquaintances, for Satan will soon wear you down. Though these people may seem harmless at first, they have the power of Satan behind them, and the situation will quickly escalate beyond your control. If you become a sympathetic ear you will be pumped full of their poison, and soon find yourself attached and obligated to evil. You are not going to help these folks, change them, sway them, or convert them. You are presently striving for your own personal spiritual maturity, not ministry. Get up and run screaming away. They have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things.

REPENT. Repentance is the action of your spirit, regaining control of your mind and body. This tool cuts the chains of Satan. Repent means, “to change direction.” When Satan sends thoughts to kill you, repent by stepping out of their way. Let the evil thoughts sail on by and miss their mark. Do not reach out and grab them, do not go with them. Disown these thoughts, declare that they are not you, and destroy them.

If you find yourself involved in evil, change your mind and decide to quit the depravity that has captured you. Change your direction and consecrate your life to the glory of God. If God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; and that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will. Fill your life with a new goal, the goal of Sonship¾ begin to seek it with all your heart. Pray without ceasing. Open your Bible and study to find the plan of God for your life. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

CONFESS. In the soon coming spiritual restoration of earth, all the evil of man will be openly declared. Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops. But you don’t have to wait that long. Get this restoration going in your life right now. There is no shame in the fact that Satan dispatched a thought or desire intended to kill you. Shame comes when you hide it, cover it up, and act on it.

It is never too late to be free from Satanic desire. It is simply the longer you wait, the greater the debt you will have to repay. If you are presently involved in evil, your debt of shame is accruing day by day, and you will ultimately pay every farthing. Get it over with now, while it is still small, and before it grows any larger.

Sin exits the body through the mouth. Tell the whole story to your spouse, parents, Godly friend, or the person you’ve wronged. Confessing your failures will break the Satanic hold that binds you. Do it now. Get it out in the open and get help. Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed.

The forgiveness of God is infinite, and the forgiveness of your friends will one day become infinite. “Run, Repent, Confess,” will paralyze Satan, terminate his activity in your life, and set you on the road to new spiritual health. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Your internal war against Satan has been specially provided by your Heavenly Father. This warfare is not an accident; it is the means to your spiritual maturity. Some of these battles you will win, and some you will temporarily lose. Do not be dismayed by your failures, but learn from them. Count them as brief setbacks only, then press on with the war.

Satan is tasked with maliciously teaching you about the evil that originates in God. According to the plan of God for you, you will learn about evil firsthand, as you experience the trials of planet earth.

During this process, some failure is a prerequisite for your perfection. You have to experience a degree of failure, but you don’t have to like it. Pick yourself up, get back on track, destroy your adversaries, and claim for yourself the prize of Sonship. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

The Mechanism of Revelation

God is the creator of both good and evil. Thus anytime you learn about good or evil, you learn about God. To discover the mechanisms of good and evil is to understand the working of God. This knowledge of good and evil is essential for God’s spiritual Sons, who are to be born in his own image. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?

“Good” cannot be defined without first having an understanding of “evil.” Thus your life begins in darkness, so that you can ultimately comprehend light. Your revelation of God begins in the earthly crush of Satanic evil, and ends when you have put on the incorruptibility and immortality of your Father. As the eyes of good and evil come to stare into your life, look back into their depths and see the working of God, transforming you into his likeness. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God.

As the Vice-President of Evil on planet earth, Satan has been assigned to acquaint you with God’s evil. By Satan’s power your vision of God is temporarily blocked when you are born on the earth. This blindness is accomplished through the presence of your carnal mind.

Your carnal mind can be thought of as the veil in the Tabernacle that shielded the Ark of the Covenant from view. When Jesus was crucified, this veil was ripped in half and the Ark was suddenly made visible. Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent.

So also with you, it is the process of crucifixion that rips the veil of your carnal mind. When this veil is removed, you will be able to see the light, the glory, and the dwellingplace of God. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil.

Once the carnal veil is completely crucified and eliminated, your tabernacle will no longer be divided against itself. The Holy Place and the Most Holy Place will be merged into a single large room. Then you will find yourself standing in the presence of the golden throne of God. Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, ... for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace.

The veil of your carnal mind, and the grievous trials that will crucify it, have been ordained for you by your Heavenly Father. But the accomplishment of these painful actions he has delegated to Satan.

Satan’s carnality brings your blindness of God. Then Satan’s actions bring the trials that will crucify this carnality. Thus Satan and his devices, and his actions, always ultimately result in more of the revelation of God. Through Satan’s processes of death, your spirit is made ready for resurrection. For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

All your knowledge of evil has been afforded you through the office of Satan. Though this experience is difficult, it is also priceless and absolutely required for your spiritual perfection. Through the anguish of Satan’s work you will eventually learn the lovingkindness of God. Every pearl is formed by a terrible irritant. Even so, Satan’s evil is a mechanism for the revelation of God. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

All the evil works of Satan will ultimately result in an eternal blessing for mankind. Even Satanic attack is the love, wisdom, and power of God for you. Many of the profitable results of Satanic attack can already be clearly seen. Ten such instances are discussed below. Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

In the garden of Eden, Satan came against Eve. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? With deception and lies, Satanic evil conquered goodness and innocence. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die. Charmed and seduced, Eve fell to the suggestions of Lucifer. And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

This horrifying situation was the horrendous failure of the Adamic race, accomplished by the prescription of God. For Satan and Eve were only bit players in the grand scheme of God. And the result of this seemingly senseless tragedy, was the birth of children. Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children.

Before the arrival of Satan, Adam and Eve lived together naked, but childless. They did not have children, because they did not know how. It was the arrival of Satan, and the failure of Eve, that instigated the Adamic race. As with your spiritual life today, evil is the catalyst necessary for reproduction. And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

Eve’s failure in Eden was caused by the greater purpose of God. From God’s perspective, Eve played out the script he had prepared for her. Had her downfall been avoided, you would never have been born, and the possibility of your ultimate spiritual perfection would not exist.

The fall of Adam and Eve was the work of Satan, orchestrated with the malicious intent of introducing evil into the work of God. But Good and Evil are terms that apply only in the earthly realm. From God’s perspective, all things both good and evil, emanate from his throne to accomplish his purpose. Even the Satanic fall of man was a mechanism to bring about the purpose of God. And within this realm of sorrow, your spiritual gestation is assured. And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil.

Job was a righteous man who served God with a pure heart. There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil. But God sent Satan against Job, to destroy his life. And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

The things that Job loved most were abruptly reduced to wasted rubble. In one day, Job lost his ten children and his vast herds of animals. Job’s body was then afflicted with agonizing boils. So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.

By the work of Satan, Job faced the destruction of his family, his business, and his health.And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power. As Job collapsed amongst the ashes of his life, his devoted wife abandoned him, and his last earthly comfort fell upon the desert breeze. Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.

Job battled with this horror for months in writhing torment, pleading with God for answers. During this conflict Job reassessed his priorities and distilled his goals. His desires were changed to seek heavenly treasure above all else. But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding? Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living. ... It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof.

By Satanic destruction, God realigned Job’s values, and this earthly pain was the prerequisite to heavenly blessing. For Job’s tears washed the windows of his understanding. As the result of his Satanic attack, Job eventually came to the unobstructed revelation of God. I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.

From a human perspective, Job’s loss was a tragedy of enormous proportions. But from God’s point of view, Job received the supreme treasures of heaven. The topaz of Ethiopia shall not equal it, neither shall it be valued with pure gold. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding?

Job’s well ordered world appeared to descend into colossal failure. But in reality, he was being manipulated by awesome spiritual forces, far beyond his control. Job’s heartache and anguish was the work of Satan. But this pain was financed by the love of God. God took full credit for the waste, the carnage, and the grief. And still he [Job] holdeth fast his integrity, although thou [Satan] movedst me [God] against him, to destroy him without cause.

Through the wretchedness of Satan’s work, Job saw God, and entered into a new, personal relationship with his Heavenly Father. So also, all the works of Satan that God allows into your life, will ultimately glorify the infinite wisdom and enduring purpose of God for you. So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning.

In 988 BC, God devised a plan to give King David an amazing revelation. This process was instigated by Satanic attack. And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel.

By the influx of Satanic spirit, David failed miserably. And David said unto God, I have sinned greatly, because I have done this thing. David’s sin resulted in grievous affliction and death being spread upon the innocent people of Israel. So the LORD sent pestilence upon Israel: and there fell of Israel seventy thousand menThe plague was stayed only when the destroying angel paused over the threshingfloor of Ornan. When David saw the angel, he quickly purchased the site and made sacrifice to the Lord. And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD.

When David prepared the sacrifice, God responded with fire from heaven. And he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. This was a shocking and unprecedented statement from God, since David was not a priest, and the Tabernacle was not even then located in Jerusalem. What was it that was so special about the threshingfloor of Ornan?

David had stumbled upon a wonderful, ancient, and magical place of destiny. The threshingfloor of Ornan was actually the long lost, Mount Moriah. The place of David’s sacrifice was exactly the spot where Abraham had sacrificed Isaac. This sacred site had been lost to posterity for over 800 years, and it was revealed only when the fire fell from heaven. When David saw that the LORD had answered him in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite, then he sacrificed there.

David had found the dwellingplace of God. And on this spot, King Solomon’s temple was eventually built. Then David said, This is the house of the LORD God, and this is the altar of the burnt offering for Israel. And David commanded to gather together the strangers that were in the land of Israel; and he set masons to hew wrought stones to build the house of God.

Spiritually, David had found the secret entrance to God’s dwelling, the doorway to the heavenly realm. But this revelation had been instigated by Satanic attack. It resulted from David’s failure and sin. It was purchased with the suffering and affliction of innocent Israel.

Every human failure is held within the sovereign purpose of God. Every tragedy is in accord with his plan. For the true revelation of God is not free. It always comes with great personal sacrifice and emotional expense. I will not take that which is thine for the LORD, nor offer burnt offerings without cost.

Satanic attack, personal failure, and affliction of the innocent, are the ingredients of heavenly miracles. Satanic destruction can even reveal the dwellingplace of God.

After Jesus was baptized, the heavenly realms became visible to his spirit, and he was immediately attacked by Satan. As always, the conflict between Jesus and Satan was stressful and difficult. But this Satanic confrontation revealed crucial facts about the process that leads to spiritual maturity. Once again, Satan’s actions were God’s mechanism for revelation. Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

Satan’s three temptations showed that provision, protection, and possession, are the three principal battles that you will have to face as you pursue Sonship. These temptations also revealed God’s plan, process, and promise for those who accomplish it.

The first temptation of Satan dealt with provision for the natural body. There is no end to bodily demands for food, shelter, and comfort. The mortals of earth spend their lives in bondage to this appetite. And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

By the introduction of doubt, and through probing questioning, Satan sought to trick Jesus into failure. But Jesus responded to Satan by quoting a scripture. Jesus dispatched Satanic doubt, and reaffirmed the absolute sovereignty of God over the physical needs of man. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Temptation to serve the physical body is one of the curses of Eden. Jesus reversed this Edenic pollution by affirming that provision for the physical body is the responsibility of God. Your body should get what it is given, never what it demands. Your spirit is to rule your body, and not vice versa. Like Jesus, you too will be tested by demands for bodily provision. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Spiritually, this first temptation illuminated the plan of God to bring forth children. Israel is represented by the stones that Satan suggested should be made bread. At the start of Joshua’s invasion of Canaan, God commanded a memorial of twelve stones to be set up at Gilgal. And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal. Much later, John the Baptist was preaching in the vicinity of Gilgal and referred to these same stones, declaring that they represented the house of Israel. I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

It is the “stones” of Israel that will bring forth the firstborn Sons of God. These Sons, together with Jesus, the firstbegotten Son, will corporately become the “bread of life” for the rest of creation. The plan of God is to transform physical Israelites (stones) into immortal Sons (bread). Jesus did not deny this plan, but simply refused to initiate it in his own strength.

Satan’s first temptation illuminated that physical provision will be diligently tested in your life, and that the plan of God is to transform your stony heart into a Son of God.

Satan’s second temptation dealt with protection. Mortal man seeks protection from injury, sickness, death, discomfort, and emotional distress. Satan tried to coerce Jesus to invoke these protections. By misapplying scripture, Satan sought to deceive Jesus and bring about his failure. Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, and saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

If you protect your own carnality, you leave the veil intact, to block your view into the Most Holy Place. But protection during the Adamic experience is not the plan of God. God has made your life subject to physical ailments and emotional pain. These ingredients are necessary for the maturity of your spirit. Jesus knew this and was not deceived by Satan. Thus he dispatched Satan with a scripture of his own. Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

You too will be tested by desires for carnal, self-preservation. When dealing with problems, you will be tempted to run away, to hide, to pretend they don’t exist. If you seek this protection, and harden your heart to the processing of God, you can never become an Overcomer. To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your heart.

Spiritually, the second temptation illuminated God’s process to bring forth children. This process is the casting down of your carnality. If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. Your carnal goals must be brought to naught. This is the way of the cross, and this way leads to eternal spiritual life. The way of carnal man leads only to death. There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

No warrior ever won a battle seeking protection. Spiritual warriors must hasten to the battle to obliterate fear, doubt, selfishness, bitterness, and every evil desire. They must attack and overcome every adversity that God brings their way. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

The Sons of God are matured and birthed as they are attacked by the wisdom of God. Jesus Christ was maligned and murdered. If you wish to share in his glory, you can expect no better. He that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. God will sovereignly bring purifying fires to perfect your spirit. You must not initiate these trials, but God will bring all things that you require in due time.

Satan’s second temptation illuminated that self-protection will be diligently tested in your life, and that the cross is the process that leads to spiritual maturity.

Satan’s third temptation of Jesus dealt with possessions. The carnal mind desires to accumulate wealth. Every earthly possession is desired to make one wise. Neither is there any limit to the “things” that a man wishes to possess. Satan sought Jesus’ failure, by tempting him with all the possessions of the world. Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them. And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

If Jesus would simply have acknowledged the Vice-President of Evil, Jesus could have possessed all the treasures of earth. But the Sons of God are not to give place to any created underling. And, God does not intend for the natural man to amass earthly wealth. He intends for your spirit to obtain a celestial wealth.

Jesus nullified Satan’s attack by quoting a scripture which affirmed that all the possessions in existence, are already the property of the Most High. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. With these words Satan departed, for he knows positively that he serves the pleasure of Almighty God. You too will be tested by desires for worldly riches.

Spiritually, the third temptation illuminated God’s promise to give his Sons all his inheritance. We are the children of God: and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him. Ultimately all the kingdoms of the world will become the possession of Jesus Christ and his Brothers. The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ.

But you must not attempt to procure this inheritance by earthly means, or through human strength. The treasures of creation can be obtained only as a byproduct of your spiritual maturity. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

The abominable structure of Organized Christianity has dismally failed this third temptation. Week by week they proclaim the works, sovereignty, and power of Satan. They affirm that Satan will win most of mankind and barbecue them forever in Hell.

Reverencing the Vice-President of Evil in this deluded fashion, Satan is then true to his word and gives them the things of the world. For the moment the preachers finish extolling the virtues of Satan, they then stride victoriously into the Gospel of Prosperity, teaching that gain is godliness, and claiming for themselves all the treasures of earth. Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

Satan would be happy to let you have the glittering trinkets of the world, if it would keep you from obtaining spiritual maturity. And this is usually the case. Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Satan’s third temptation shows that your desire for earthly possessions will be diligently tested. It also reveals that according to the promise of God, his overcoming Sons will inherit all things.

Jesus Christ was attacked by Satan three different times in his life: at his Birth, Baptism, and Betrayal. In each situation God supernaturally worked to accomplish Jesus’ perfection.

These occurrences reveal the wisdom of God for his developing Sons, and during your earthly life you can expect the same three Satanic attacks. As was the case with Jesus, you must remember that the painful works of Satan accomplish the will of God for you. Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

BIRTH. At the birth of Jesus, Satan moved Herod to kill all the babies of Jesus’ generation. As a child, Jesus was not yet capable of defending himself, physically or spiritually. In this first attack, no action was required from Jesus. Instead, Jesus’ destruction was averted by supernatural intervention. The angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt.

Spiritually, the generation of Jesus is the Body of Christ, his Brothers, all the firstborn Sons of God. All those who aspire to this generation will be attacked by Satan while they are still helpless. But during their spiritual infancy on earth, while they are still “young Christians,” they are protected from destruction by the supernatural deliverance of God.

BAPTISM. After the baptism of Jesus, Satan attacked him in the wilderness with the three temptations. In this attack, Jesus faced the adversary all by himself. Jesus required this trial for his own spiritual maturity. By his victory, Jesus demonstrated that his spirit was the master of his mind and physical body. As the result of this victory, Jesus was supernaturally energized by the angels of God. Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

As you pursue your own spiritual maturity on earth, you too will be attacked by Satanic temptation. You will be thoroughly tested in provision, protection, and possession. You must defeat these desires, and like Jesus, make your spirit the master of your mind and body. This is a life-long conflict, an enduring campaign of warfare. But after you overcome these partisans of the natural man, you will find your spirit supernaturally energized by the power of God. Then you will come to the final battle for your own spiritual perfection.

BETRAYAL. When Jesus was finally ready for his ultimate achievement, God arranged for him to endure a Satanic betrayal. Satan entered into Judas, and Judas betrayed Jesus to the cross.

Jesus required this trial for his own maturity. Through Satanic betrayal, Jesus was given an opportunity to surrender his own will. This is an exceedingly difficult proposition for man, but Jesus was victorious in this inner conflict. Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

By his willing surrender unto self-sacrifice, Jesus developed agape-love within his own spirit. Greater love (agape) hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. As a result of this victory he was once again supernaturally energized. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him. With this strength he was prepared for the cross, and by the cross he became irrevocably scheduled for the eternal glory of resurrection.

All those who pursue Sonship can expect to endure Satanic betrayal. When your spouse, family, or friends spit in your face, you will be given a rare and wonderful opportunity. By accepting the betrayal from the superior wisdom of your Heavenly Father, you can surrender your own will. By this you will lay down your life for your loved ones, and this is the recipe for becoming the divine perfection of agape-love. [Love] takes no account of the evil done to it, it pays no attention to a suffered wrong. 1 Corinthians 13:5 (Amplified). By success in the excruciating ordeal of betrayal, your spirit is matured and made ready for a glorious resurrection.

Peter was a favorite disciple who was larger than life. It seems his boisterous personality was always bubbling forth and getting in the way. Like a kid walking in shoes that were twice too large, Peter flopped around, boldly proclaiming the improbable.

Peter represents human nature at its best. But even the best of man is an offense unto God. Peter was thus selected for Satanic attack. This painful processing was required for his own maturity, and as an example for you.

Jesus knew the plan of God. He knew that suffering, betrayal, and death were God’s prescription for spiritual life. From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

But Peter was still carnally minded and immature. He could not understand God’s purpose in suffering. He still thought that earthly power and prosperity were the path to spiritual perfection. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.

This was a grave error, and Jesus took the opportunity to illustrate that those who desire earthly things have been deluded by Satan. But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men.

Later, Jesus again declared Peter’s propensity for Satanic attack. And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Peter walked on water, helped to feed the five thousand, saw the sick healed and the dead raised. But all these miracles had not “converted” Peter. He was still spiritually immature. Physical miracles do not give you spiritual maturity. No amount of earthly splendor or healing can ever make your spirit alive.

By the plan of God, Satan was assigned the task of maturing Peter’s spirit, and Jesus did not prevent this. The prayer of Jesus Christ did not remove Peter from evil. Rather, it empowered Peter to be victorious “through” evil.

Peter did not want to be attacked by Satan and profoundly declared it would not happen. And he said unto him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death. Yet the wisdom of God had prescribed Satanic failure for this favorite disciple, and it could not be avoided. And he said, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before that thou shalt thrice deny that thou knowest me.

During the trial of Jesus, Peter succumbed to Satanic fear and denied his relationship to Jesus Christ. Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew. The prescription for Peter’s maturity came precisely as foretold, and in spite of Peter’s best efforts to avoid it. And the Lord turned, and looked upon Peter. And Peter remembered the word of the Lord, how he had said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.

The agony of this deep dark horror is a pain that few have ever known. To deny and betray the most precious thing in your life is an untold anguish of soul that turns days into years of thick darkness, and obliterates every human joy for a very great while. And Peter went out, and wept bitterly.

But all this onslaught of Satanic terror was only the whisper of God’s love. For Peter’s failure was only a mirage. While it seemed Peter had fallen to Satanic destruction, actually he was only living out the wisdom of God’s love for him. In the sobbing convulsions of apparent failure, Peter’s spirit was brought to a state of maturity. This maturity “converted” him, and prepared him for the most spectacular earthly ministry of any man since Jesus himself. He [Jesus] saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Fifty days after the resurrection the Holy Spirit fell upon the believers, and it was Peter who first stood up to proclaim the good news of Sonship. Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words.

Peter’s carnal nature had failed miserably, by the design of God. But Peter’s spirit did not fail. The anguish of Satanic attack simply helped to transform Simon the fisherman, into Peter the Apostle. Like Jesus, Peter was matured and prepared for success, through the instrumentality of Satan.

Saul of Tarsus was an austere man, hateful, and contrary to Christianity. Blinded by Satanic power, he persecuted and killed the followers of Jesus Christ in a bloody reign of terror. And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest.And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

After Saul was converted, he was sickened by his previous actions. For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. The anguish of his early deeds worked within him to crucify his carnality, and this produced a humbleness of mind that was found in few others.

Anguish, failure, and remorse are always the prerequisites for revelation. You must always lose something in the natural, before you can gain something in the spirit. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

The Satanic slaughter that worked in Saul’s early life was actually a preparation for his maturity and ministry. From the ashes of Saul’s Satanic evil, Paul the Apostle eventually rose up with a boldness and confidence that shook the Christian world. For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it. ... But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood.

Paul’s early failure was only a temporary illusion, for in the grand scheme of God, Paul was simply working out the script that God had prepared for him. Even his overt attempt to smash the Christians, was actually the work of God to prepare this greatest evangelist. And in like fashion, the Christians he persecuted were also matured and perfected through these very same trials. Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem. ... But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel.

By his Satanic experience, Paul was made ready to receive the stark revelation of God. From this new, awesome clarity of vision, Paul then wrote a large portion of the New Testament. He established churches throughout the civilized world. He healed the sick and raised the dead in a sweeping, world-wide ministry. I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven. How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

This abundance of spiritual revelation would destroy the average mortal. Preferential treatment normally puffs-up the carnal nature and leads the spirit into self-exaltation. But once again, God used Satan to indemnify Paul against this possibility. And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.

As with Paul, Satanic attack is your preparation for spiritual revelation, and the messenger of Satan is the guarantee of your spiritual maturity. If you are being buffeted by Satan, by all means fall on your face and beseech God for his removal. But all the while take comfort, knowing that even Satanic anguish is the work of God for your eternal, spiritual blessing. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

The destiny of Satan is not very bright. You have a much higher calling. In a very short time, a single angel will be dispatched to chain up Satan for a thousand years. During this Millennial period of rest on planet earth, evil will cease, and life for the mortals will be much improved. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years.

But without the crush of Satan’s evil, no person can come into spiritual maturity. Thus after the Millennium, Satan will be loosed so that the maturing, educating process can begin again. All the mortal Adamites will then be resurrected, and their experience in Satanic evil will continue until they become Overcomers, and their spirits are brought into immortal perfection. And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison.

When all this work is concluded, Satan is scheduled for termination. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffick; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee: thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more. Satan shall be no more. And his end marks the consummation of God’s plan to bring forth begotten Sons.

Satan’s demise may take place by the restoration of his mind. Most likely, Satan (the adversary) will be transformed back into Lucifer (the Shining One). Thus the seventh archangel could continue to serve the pleasure of his creator in future assignments.

This is the genesis, mission, and destiny of Satan. All his iniquity serves the purpose of God, and that purpose is revelation and resurrection for the Sons of God.
