The Mysterious God

Playfully she danced and bounded, touching here on your bed, then there on your pillow. Around you she glided, lighting the room with her golden glow and leaving behind a dusty trail of colors that dissolved in a moment.

At her arrival you stirred, but did not see. Sleeping so still, all cozy and warm, she teased your dreams, beckoning your favor, calling for attention. But heartless you slept, while she poured out her care and pined for affection.

Undaunted, she shimmered-out a dazzle of fairy-sized sparkles, then jumped away to a careful repose. What’s this? Did you stir?

With a coy glance back, through a parting of gossamer wings, her gaze fell to your slumbering eyes. Renewing her resolve, she drifted gracefully o’er your sleeping form, and sweetly dropped a golden brick on your head.

Ahhggh! With a snort you rolled, then slowly rose. Ah, at last you’re awake. Now, she thought, you will notice her radiant beauty, her slender form borne on translucent wings. Now you will perceive her delicate features and her diadem of grace.

Who you ask, could this troublesome pixie be? Her name is Mystery, and she dares you to catch her.

But no. You’re up and staggering, with eyes half closed, to make the coffee, read the paper, get to work. The persistent sprite takes pursuit. She follows your day, she never gives up. At work she calls to your thoughts and lures your desires. She bids your attention, to notice, to follow.

With a determined look and a hint of mischief, she decides to rearrange the events of your day. Touching your hopes and threading your dreams, she flits and flies, becoming visible in the situations she brings. Her playground is all your earthly cares. Your desires and dreams are her toys.

From joyous pinnacles she swoops, to valleys of mournful dirge, coursing through the canyons of what seem to you as only happenstance. She seems unconcerned by your problems, this busy creature, darting among the ruinous heaps of her finest work.

In leisure and obligation she is there, sweeping your thoughts from laughter to painful memory and back again. She whispers to those you meet, provoking their words. She is in all that enters your reach, and beams from every event. Her mission is your welfare, her delight is your wealth. She is an elusive beauty. She is the sacred and secret purpose of God for your life.

As you awoke this morning a mystery swirled about you. Questions waited for answers. Is there a God? What is he doing? These questions have endured throughout time, and spring from the soul of man. Who are you really? Where did you come from? Where are you going? Each day these riddles come haunting, and no amount of earthly diversion can drive them permanently away.

Those who seek wisdom will undertake their solution. And searching the world over, they will eventually come to the God of creation. For all the questions of men, are answered in the secrets of God. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? ... God understandeth the way thereof, and he knoweth the place thereof. For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven.

Every generation of men has lived among the mysteries of God. Some have sought for him, and being quickened, were empowered to see into his heavenly realm. To them, life became an animate teacher, instructing them into the presence of God. But others have come and gone, seeing only the sight of their physical eyes. They should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being.

This search for God’s secrets is the noblest of all quests, for this endeavor alone has the potential to satisfy the human spirit. Apart from the captivating allure of God and his wisdom, life on earth would be frightfully dull, predictable, and pointless. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men.

As you begin your inquiry into the heavenly realm, you will first be struck with the amazing observation that God had a Son. The New Testament is the announcement of his birth.

The Bible declares that Jesus Christ was born as a man. Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh. It states that he was perfected as a Son during his time on earth. For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. By his death and resurrection, Jesus became the first spiritually begotten Son of God. Declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

Jesus is not an appendage of God, like an leg or a tentacle, that was cut off and thrust to the ground. Rather, he is a new, independent being, a newborn spirit that grew up to become an adult. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself. Jesus is a sovereign entity, a distinct personality, possessing the same character and abilities as his Father. All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Furthermore, the Bible declares that he is one of many, he is the firstborn of many brethren.

But how is this possible? How can a man, born of an earth woman, become a begotten Son of God? And if this is true, what are the implications for you? To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

Beyond the Son of God comes the study of the Father that sired him. Of all the religions in existence, only the God of the Bible claims to have created the heavens and the earth. And he has a name. He called himself in Hebrew, “Yahweh,” which means, “I will become whatsoever I will.” This name embodies a promise of transformation that is backed by infinite ability.

But who is he personally? What does he want? What should be your response to him? And what manner of deity subjects an obedient and developing Son to the horror of human crucifixion?

God himself is the ultimate mystery. He is creator, showman, and Father. He calls himself spirit. He calls himself love. He describes himself as all-powerful and all-wise. He dwells in every place and every time. Yet throughout all these, he hides. Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel.

The Father of Jesus Christ is a reclusive wonder. He is never seen in his entirety. He covers his face and conceals his plans. Whence then cometh wisdom? and where is the place of understanding? Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living. God never tells all he knows, but guides all things, at times in directions that seem contrary to the destination. His strategies are the secrets of heaven. His works are clandestine, his true nature arcane. He enjoys obscurity. He shrouds himself within his creation and cloaks his wisdom in fantastic events. Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?

God is a supreme entertainer- he delights to display his astounding splendors. When men see these amazing events they stand spellbound in awe, but few indeed will ever notice the God that produced them. The LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire.

God is a master of disguise. He has made all the world a mystery and hidden himself within it. Every physical thing and every spirit reveals the wisdom of God. The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handiwork. He created all things as they are, and left the mind of man to explore their bounds and discover their secrets. The wisdom of things as they are, is the secret you must discover today. Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

All the discoveries of man are but tiny forays into the secrets of God. Even science is simply the study of what God has made. Every scientific principle is an unmasking of what was already there. Every physical law, electrical circuit, and medical procedure, is nothing more than a description of what God has created and provided for man. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers. All things in creation speak of the God who made them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead.

The secrets of God shout from every facet of human existence. His design is seen in the happenstances of daily life. Each nuance provides an instance of instruction, testing, or development. The lot is cast into the lap, but the decision is wholly of the Lord. Even the events that seem accidental are really ordered by Him. Proverbs 16:33 (Amplified). All actions in the created realm are but a sequence of events, emanating from the throne of God to accomplish his purpose. According to His purpose Who foresees and energizes all things, which have been prepared to accomplish the intention of His will. Ephesians 1:11 (Fenton).

As you walk through your day, look for the secrets of God. Pause to search for him in every good thing and every evil- in every success and every failure. He is the sovereign worker of all things. He inhabits every detail. He has a blueprint for your life, and nothing of his plan shall fail. Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.

Like a tapestry the curious foibles of earth are woven by the Master. Line by line they take their place, layering in cunning arrangement the elegance that he sees for you. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

The events of your life are like threads, fixed by the working of God’s purpose. Each is the color of rebuke or blessing, failure or forgiveness, heartache or glory. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Each moment of every day these strands of his character are shuttled into your spirit, to take their place in his finished design. A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.

Slowly as you seek him and come to know him, an image will appear in the textures of his work. Those who can see it will thrill in amazement. There, in their own lives, a scene is being weaved. If you look intently you will begin to comprehend the colors, and the placement of each tiny thread. And being astonished with spiritual eyes, you will soon discern the mystery of his purpose for you. Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things.

The search to discover the meaning of your life is a voyage into the secrets of God. This is not a journey for the timid. It is an adventure for the fearless. If you embark on this quest, aim higher than you have ever imagined. For the truth of God is stranger and more glorious than the world can now believe.

God’s true purpose for man is the envy of angelic realms, but it remains veiled to modern Christianity. Which things the angels desire to look into. His plan for the Adamic race is the best kept secret he has ever conceived. Quietly it lies unmolested around you, beckoning those rugged few who are willing to risk everything, in order to obtain their dreams. But where shall wisdom be found? and where is the place of understanding? Man knoweth not the price thereof; neither is it found in the land of the living.

The Heavenly Cover-up

In antiquity past, the God of creation devised a plan to reveal himself fully to a handful of his closest friends. Now he could have called them all to a heavenly seminar and instructed them in his goodness, wisdom, and power. But God desired something more than this, and conceived a plan much grander. His pleasure ran far beyond a mere knowing about him. He wished that some could come to know him to perfection, even his innermost being.

God conceived of transferring an infinite knowledge of himself, a knowing so complete, that it could never be found to lack. He thought to convey a perfect understanding of his secret nature, and the mysteries of his wisdom and power. Those who received this training could actually walk in his shoes, for they would in fact become what he is.

This is the most intimate understanding that God is capable of imparting. It is a knowing not by hearing and seeing, but by becoming. To this end, God made the heavens and the earth. And this effort led to the creation of man. That you might be filled with the advanced and perfect experiential knowledge of His will in the sphere of every kind of wisdom and intelligence which is spiritual. Colossians 1:9 (Wuest).

God created man as the exact opposite of himself. Where God is strong, man is weak. Where God is life, man is death. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Man’s wisdom is senseless, his existence a momentary vapor. His power is laughable, his understanding is darkness. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. Man’s nature is the antithesis of God. And this situation was engineered by divine wisdom. Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.

Your present subjection to the lunacy of the fallen Adamic nature is no accident. Rather, your search for God has been intentionally hampered by the fact that you are human. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope. As a human, you were placed at the extreme opposite end of the spiritual spectrum from God. Those who desire to find him, must traverse all the distance that lies in between. In the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God.

As you set out on this journey to God you will encounter the obstacles he has placed in your way. These barriers hide the wisdom of God and must be torn down. As you destroy them one-by-one, you will move a little closer to God, and find a little more of him waiting behind each. This is a long and difficult trek, but if you will pursue it, you will learn his secrets and eventually find him. Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

The first roadblock to spiritual understanding is your fallen Adamic nature. God made human nature blind to the spirit realm. The carnal mind is enmity against God. Adamic man is paralyzed by sensuality. He is attracted to evil as filings to a magnet. Man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward. Like a parasite, the carnal nature kills the things it feeds on. It steals what it doesn’t deserve and destroys what it can’t have. But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Human nature thrives on delusion. It believes what it likes, without regard to the truth. It is a selfish, self-centered agnostic, that is incapable of perceiving the existence of God, much less discovering his secrets. Thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

This loathsome conniver is perfectly suited to its task. As a specially engineered apparatus, your Adamic nature renders God invisible. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. As long as you retain this dolt as your own character, you will never find the secrets of God. There is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.

The next obstacle to spiritual understanding is earthly glitter. The creation of sinful man required an appropriate setting for his vain hard-heartedness. So God made the present scheme of things as a brilliant lure to the cravings of iniquity. The world was created as a deception for the flesh. Worldly riches are the stratagem of God, to hide his sovereignty and his wisdom from the corrupt nature of man. He hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

The fallen Adamic nature is captivated by physical trinkets and temporal pleasures. These things call to the five senses, luring them to addiction and destruction. The sparkles of earth are like bait for the foolish, masking the sharp hook of spiritual death. For what is exalted and highly thought of among men is detestable and abhorrent, an abomination, in the sight of God. Luke 16:15 (Amplified).

The desire for physical things conceals the secrets of God behind a veil of flesh. This is the contrivance of God, to hide his truth where only a few will find it. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh (craving for sensual gratification), and the lust of the eyes (greedy longings of the mind), and the pride of life (assurance in one’s own resources or in the stability of earthly things), these do not come from the Father but are from the world itself. 1 John 2:16 (Amplified).

After the obstacles of carnality and worldly allure, comes a formidable deterrent built into the Bible itself. The Bible is God’s initial meeting place with man. Thus it is written in a style that can first appeal to the unregenerate. From this perspective many verses are introductory in nature, and others use allusions that tell not the whole truth.

For instance, God often describes himself as having human emotions. Thou ... hast fretted me in all these things. But God is not a man, he does not fret, nor is he subject to any human frailty. Thou thoughtest that I was altogether such an one as thyself: but I will reprove thee.

Occasionally God pretends that he doesn’t know everything. The LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? But actually, his knowledge is infinite. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.

Sometimes God jokes that he is caught unawares. Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD? But in reality, God orchestrates everything, always, everywhere. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world.

At times God lets you think that he is forgetful. Then he remembered the days of old. But God is not forgetful, nor weak, nor constrained by any limitation. Yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.

Some parts of the Bible use fanciful expressions to enliven descriptions. Others are satirical, or set within a narrow context. For example, some verses paint God as being allergic to evil. Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity. But in reality, God is the creator of evil. I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil.

Some scriptures make you think that God has lost control of his creation. Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth. But this is impossible. All things are of God.

Doctrinally, some Bible texts might mislead you into believing that you make your own destiny. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. But in truth, God has not abdicated his throne in favor of your wisdom. Your destiny and that of every man is orchestrated by God, and hovers in his hand. No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him.

Bible idiom can also be very misleading and must be carefully considered. For the Bible too has been wittingly fashioned, at times to conceal the awesome, limitless grandeur of the Living God.

Through mistranslations and misinterpretations that God has ordained, you could be misled to believe in a hell of eternal torment. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. But the truth is that God’s plan includes all his creation. All shall one day be changed and delivered from corruption. None shall be permanently lost. The crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth; and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

Those who are led by the Adamic nature are called “unregenerate.” Those deceived by a lust for the world are called “sinners.” By the wisdom of God, these two groups of people will squander their lives trying to appease their five senses. As slaves to a vengeful master they will toil for the wind. Men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness.

These people are prisoners of their own carnal nature. It is abomination to fools to depart from evil. Their brief time on earth will be spent in futility, oblivious to God’s plan. They will neither learn the secrets of God nor come at this time to his dwellingplace. Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children. Being unable to discern the presence of God, they will pass this dispensation in the painful futility of licentious Adamic bondage. They that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

The third group, those people who are tricked by the Bible’s literary style, are called “Modern Christianity.” They are ensnared by interpretations of scripture that complement carnal thinking. Their doctrines are constructed on a foundation of human values, emotions, and goals. Though they have come to a basic awareness of God, these people cannot move beyond the introductory texts and shallow interpretations, for these appeal to the carnal man. In vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

Rather than striving for his spiritual height, Modern Christians pull God down to their level, assigning him human attributes and failings. Thus they cannot discern God’s infinite wisdom and power, nor the pervasive perfection of his plan. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man.

Modern Christians are satisfied with simple and incomplete spiritual concepts, and so cling to spiritual adolescence. They believe that as carnal creatures “enlightened” by the spirit, they have already achieved some magical sufficiency, and thus need not search for the deep things of God. Indeed, new ideas and deeper truth are taboo in the modern church.

These Christians have their energies diverted into group interaction. And while this usurper reigns, they have neither the time nor inclination to establish a personal relationship with their Heavenly Father. For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. They believe in God, but fail to obtain his best, calling it heresy and error where it interferes with their carnal doctrines or social programs. For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers hath he covered. And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed.

By the fallen Adamic nature, man is made spiritually blind. By the glitter of earth, he is deceived. By juvenile interpretations of scripture, he is lulled into complacency. All these things were designed by God to conceal his wisdom and to baffle the human heart. And they work all too well. Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: for I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

Man’s spiritual understanding has been thwarted by these three devices since the garden of Eden. Thus it is that the greatest secrets of God are still largely unknown, though they lay in plain sight. There they have been and there they are now, still safe from the carnal, the worldly, and the easily satisfied. He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.

By the plan of God, the masses of humanity have been relegated to spiritual blindness. And as if to drive nails in this coffin, God then speaks to them in parables. All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

God is not trying to reveal his deep secrets to the masses of mankind. If this were his intent it would have been accomplished long ago. To the contrary, God has taken elaborate precautions to block the spiritual understanding of most. And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken. It is God’s plan to prevent any man from accidentally stumbling upon the truth. If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.

The multitudes of this present dispensation have been dismissed by the Master. Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship, and to go before him unto the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. The masses have been bypassed for the secrets of God. For this age, they will remain deceived by carnality, earthly riches, or Bible semantics. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you.

This arcane, selective situation, is the result of God’s foreknowledge and design. In a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. For the high secrets of God are at this time reserved, for only a few. He said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given.

God is now in the business of winnowing the multitudes and separating unto himself a very small group. Thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. During this dispensation, he is looking for a few good men, and no more. I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

God is searching the hearts and selectively choosing some to learn his secrets. For many are called, but few are chosen. A few will be taken for his high and secret plans. These he will bring to heavenly revelations. He that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold. And with this instruction comes judgment, to prove them and try them, to cleanse them from error, and to open their eyes. The people are yet too many; bring them down unto the water, and I will try them for thee there.

These few are being prepared as kings of the next world, being tutored into the heavenly mysteries. As many as were ordained to eternal life believed. They will come to possess that intimate knowledge of God, that knowing by becoming, that God purposed from the beginning. As it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

The existence of this secret group is God’s greatest mystery- and you can be part of it. For I always pray, the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation, of insight into mysteries and secrets, in the deep and intimate knowledge of Him. Ephesians 1:17 (Amplified).

Searching the Mysteries of God

The road to the supreme calling of God is an adventure, fraught with danger and bristling with excitement. It is trod by spiritual explorers who are clad with courage and perseverance.

God never reveals all that he is, but leaves only clues. Those who desire him are not summoned to his throne, but rather are given a map. If their blood runs hot for permanent wealth they will delight at this challenge, and embark on a hunt for spiritual treasure. The pursuit of this quest will develop their resourcefulness, test their mettle, and prove their resolve. There is a path which no fowl knoweth, and which the vulture's eye hath not seen.

God’s passion for intrigue is astounding. He has hidden his spiritual truths behind a multitude of cunning deceptions. These he made traps for the unwary, but victories for the vigilant. The obstacles increase the stakes and heighten the challenge. It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

Oh the thrill you feel when you’ve trekked for a time, and suddenly he reveals a secret door. You pry it open and squeeze through, and there by the flickering torch, your eyes gaze on a lost room of spiritual gold.

This is the verve of those who will come to find God. For he lurks in secret and hides himself. He must be sought out by those who are disciplined, fearless, and brash- these are the raiders of heaven. The kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force as a precious prize. A share in the heavenly kingdom is sought for with most ardent zeal and intense exertion. Matthew 11:12 (Amplified).

God is a mystery, waiting to be solved. His discovery is a challenge to the spirit that beckons the brave and mocks the feeble. Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Any who would learn his secrets must make it their passion to find him. Like prospectors of the celestial realm, they must seek him and ceaselessly strive for their objective. It was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.

This search is like no other. For it requires the perseverance of an archeologist, the vision of an astronomer, the power of a warrior, the intuition of a detective, and the love of a gardener. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.

Those who pursue God are a breed apart, the quick and the bold, who electrify at the thought of finding his secrets. For he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. They thrill to the work. They are captivated by the search for spiritual glory, having been fitted with an insatiable need. Like military protocol, God is available only on a need to know basis. Only those who desperately need to know him, will ever find him. The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.

The deep things of God are invisible to natural men. They can see what he does and hear all about him, but they will never know him personally. Then I beheld all the work of God, that a man cannot find out the work that is done under the sun: because though a man labour to seek it out, yet he shall not find it. God cannot be found by the natural man. He can only be found by spirit beings. The natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. If you pursue God by human liturgy, or in conjunction with the desires of mortals, he will remain veiled to your eyes. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

God is a spirit. He dwells in a dimension where human desires and limitations do not exist. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. You also are a spirit being. But you are now dwelling in a physical body and subjected to carnality. If you aspire to find the high secrets of God you must remove these impediments that hinder your access. You must terminate your carnal nature, destroying its addictions and blindness. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Then you must begin to search for God in a land that lies beyond human limitations. This new realm is a spiritual place where God is absolutely sovereign over every detail in existence. By the spirit, you must be willing to war against your own disbelief, and to strive to understand the strange new truths that you see. This can be very difficult. For the truth of God is far stranger than you can now suppose. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

As you set out in search of your Heavenly Father, you will require some tools for your journey. Without the proper equipment you can never succeed. This necessitates a stop at the exploration office of Jesus Christ.

When you meet Jesus Christ you will be given a map and a compass. All truth is in Jesus, embodied and personified in Him. Ephesians 4:21 (Amplified). The map shows the path that Jesus walked, and the compass is the Spirit of Truth. Jesus revealed the way to the treasures of God. If you want them, you need only follow his steps. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Like a compass, the Holy Spirit is your guide on this trek. He will call every turn and carefully lead you into the secrets of God. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth. He will also be your constant traveling companion, and describe your final destination so that you will know what you are looking for. Where there is no vision, the people perish. These are the tools of spiritual discovery and victory. With these you can find and acquire the celestial treasures of God. God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

As you begin your trek the Holy Spirit will guide you wittingly around the pitfalls, and out of the Adamic danger zone. First he will lead you out from sin, revealing the folly of its pursuit. Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings. Then he will guide you past the waiting snares of earthly glitter. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Soon you will emerge from the dark polluted city of Adamic bondage, into a beautiful countryside, a virgin landscape of rolling green. Cool and fresh the air will be, a colleague to the bright sunlight that warms you.

As you leave the ramparts of carnality behind, the Holy Spirit will begin to expound on the deeper mysteries of God. The Bible will give up its secrets and explode with new life. There, apart from the crowds, as you walk alone with these friends, you will hear the unspeakable words of God himself. And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness.

As you survey your surroundings, you won’t see many people. Because at this time, God is not dealing with the masses. The men that were with me saw not the vision; but a great quaking fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves.

Then you will find you have entered a new spiritual land, called the ekklesia . Ekklesia is the Greek word that was translated “church.” But it really means, “the called out, or called forth.”

A church is not a building, or a place, or a set of doctrines- it is a person. The ekklesia are those people who are called out of this world’s systems. Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? They are called out of Adamic corruption; they wish no longer to live by the rules of mortals. Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity. Lastly, they are called out from the monstrosity of Organized Religion. Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

These brave few will depart the deception of the masses to walk in personal communion with their Heavenly Father. The general assembly and church (ekklesia) of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, ... the spirits of just men made perfect. They will leave their earthly desires behind, while setting out to find the life and secrets of God. To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church (ekklesia) the manifold wisdom of God.

In the stirring freedom of this new environment your spirit will soar to maturity. Unhampered by the shackles of flesh and the dogmas of religion, you will grow strong and wise. In the presence of God you will see truths that are veiled to mortals. You will learn things that you never dreamed. Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God. Your understanding will reach out to embrace what seemed previously impossible. I shall shew you plainly of the Father. Joyous, your spirit will blossom and revel in the awesome plan of God. Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see.

Many adventures await you in this new land and many hardships. But through them all your Father will be there, comforting, consoling, and personally instructing. To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna. And every inch that you explore in this new spirit realm, is yours for a permanent possession. The secret of the sweet, satisfying companionship of the Lord have they who fear, revere and worship Him, and He will show them His covenant, and reveal to them its deep, inner meaning. Psalm 25:14 (Amplified).

If you will turn aside from evil and seek God with your whole heart, you shall surely find him- that is his promise. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. When you come to desire spiritual understanding more than your earthly life, he will answer. There is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets. God is far more eager to tell his secrets, than you are to hear. Thus he winnows mankind, seeking some who will listen. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

All the secrets of God will be given to those uncommon few, who leave off the flesh and trust him in a land forbidden to mortals. I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them. There, in terrifying circumstances he awaits you, to confer a king’s wealth. Whether by trial or blessing, he tarries to transfer to you the treasures of immortal beings. He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.

Everything God has, he will give you. All that he is, he will convey. Beyond the dreams of the human heart, he delights to lead on, to share his character, his wisdom, and his glory, with the courageous and bold, who love him alone. I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

The Sacred Secret

Those who desire a personal relationship with God, and who can pursue him apart from human succor, have been divinely favored. But there is more. For those in the ekklesia who continue to press their knowledge of God, will eventually find themselves the ekloge of God.

Ekloge is the Greek word that was translated “election.” It means, “the act of picking out, or choosing; the act of God’s free will, by which, before the foundation of the world he decreed his blessings to certain persons.”

Ekloge is the choice that God made of you, before you were born. It is a sovereign selection, made by him for his own purpose and pleasure. At this present time also there is a remnant according to the election (ekloge) of grace. This election is based on God’s knowledge of your character and life, both of which he planned for you, before your arrival on earth. That the purpose of God according to election (ekloge) might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth.

To find yourself in the ekloge of God portends more than just the end of Adamic failure. For this choice of God is a magical threshold, that leads to his greatest secrets. Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election (ekloge) hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded.

Those people in the election, who are the subject of God’s choice, are called the “elect” of God. Elect comes from the Greek word eklektos, which is closely related to ekloge. Eklektos means, “picked out, chosen by God; appointed by God to the most exalted office conceivable.” God very definitely has favorites, and these are his elect. They are destined for greatness. They will learn the secrets of God. But who are they?

The elect are the people that trust the Holy Spirit as their guide. Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit. The elect will cultivate a faith in God’s power that exceeds human reason, even believing that God is able to birth in them a character that matches his own. According to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness.

The elect are not deceived by the religions of man. They are unconvinced by ceremonies, miracles, and manifestations. They desire only a purity of spirit that can make them acceptable to their Heavenly Father. For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

These chosen ones are bound for a state of perfection that can never be found to lack. For they are the rapt devotion, even the delight, of God himself. Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

The revelation of God is not casual or common. If you have been allowed to perceive his glory, you have been selected for a divine purpose. Flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. The spiritual things you can see with your heart are no accident. They are a prophetic revelation of your destiny. Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables.

Having first glimpsed these glories, you must next strive to possess them. You must put down the vanity of Adamic desire and cast aside your human notions of God. Through the spirit you must fill your life with the virtue, knowledge, self-control, endurance, kindness, godliness, and love that is found only in divine beings. Brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall. If you feel drawn to this quest, then you have conceived to the Holy Spirit and have garnered a place in the elect.

Now fasten your seat belt. Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. For though the masses of mankind have been blinded by God, it is equally sure that the elect will come to the superlative, sweeping, unveiled revelation of God. Having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints, His set-apart ones. Ephesians 1:18 (Amplified).

By the divine choice of God, the elect will come to know him by becoming. They will discover the vision and ability to walk a spiritual path that will blast them into the celestial realm. Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

These elect will be given the knowledge of Salvation, and will be filled with the Holy Spirit- but this is only the beginning. Moving beyond these basics, they will come to understand God’s infinite sovereignty. They will learn the depth of God’s love, and thrill at his all inclusive plan.

The elect will discover their heritage, that the Anglo-Saxons of today are the lost tribes of ancient Israel- but they will not stop there. They will find out that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, not an appendage of God. They will learn that Jesus is an autonomous spirit being, just like his Father.

Amazed, they will stand awed, as suddenly before them unfolds the true purpose for their own lives as well. For these will be ushered into the great and high secret of God. They will be summoned into the magnificent revelation of the greatest secret that God has ever conceived. A wisdom that does not belong to this world ... a wisdom that came from God, once a covered secret but now uncovered, which God marked off as His plan for bringing us to glory. 1 Corinthians 2:6,7 (Williams).

These crusaders will discover that they are to be fused into the pattern of Jesus Christ. They will learn that they are to follow his example, and like him, must eventually enter into the dwellingplace of God. We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.

The Sacred Secret of God, is that you can become his Son, just like Jesus Christ. “Christ” is a group of divine beings. “Christ” is not Jesus’ last name. It is the appellation given to any Son of God. It is the assembly of the firstborn Sons of God, and it has many members. For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

Jesus was the first Son of God, the glorious firstborn of many brothers. But there will be more Sons of God, who will be exactly like him. That he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

By his earthly experience in death and resurrection, Jesus Christ became the first spiritually begotten Son of God. He was the prototype, the proof that the process really works. And having completed the firstborn Son, God is now perfecting the rest of Jesus’ brothers. As many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God.

Each member in the Christ company will be fashioned after the model of Jesus Christ. First they will be born upon the earth as Adamites. Then those destined for Sonship in this dispensation will be selected from among the sons of men, as the elect.

The elect will be shown a rare opportunity and will launch on a heavenly journey. Their spirits will conceive to the spirit of God. They will become literally, spiritually begotten. By this conception a new spirit being will be fashioned within each of them. Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

Like Jesus, these infant spirit Sons will then experience a death and resurrection process. Boldly pursuing their goals, they will be raised to maturity by the trials of earth. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

These Sons will eventually become the full brothers of Jesus Christ. For both he that sanctifieth [Jesus] and they who are sanctified [you] are all of one [God]: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren. They are the firstfruits of the Adamic race. These firstborn Sons are the Sacred Secret of God. It pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, to reveal his Son in me.

At the end of this age this initial cadre of God’s Sons will come to the first resurrection. They will assemble into the many membered Body of Christ- and you can be one of them. This is the Sacred Secret. The mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

These Sons are the fond, doting desire of God’s heart. At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: for the Father himself loveth you. They are destined for the same incomprehensible spiritual magnificence that you now see in Jesus Christ. That we might be holy and blameless in his presence; in love, marking us out beforehand unto sonship, through Jesus Christ, for himself. Ephesians 1:4,5 (Emphasized).

These firstborn Sons will come to possess all the treasures of God their Father. They will inherit the wisdom of the ages. In that day ye shall ask me nothing. They will wield the power of creation. And nothing shall be impossible unto you. They will be given the scepter of the universe. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. They will dwell in the office, presence, and brilliance of God, having been stamped with his description, for they will in fact be his own offspring. They shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

For the rest of eternity this firstborn group of Sons will possess the same character and capacity that Jesus Christ now has. The sacred secret of God, Christ: In whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden away. Colossians 2:2,3 (Emphasized). And this is all the fullness of God. To know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

The Body of Christ is not a flock of good humans. It is a governing council of immortal, supernatural, spirit beings. We know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him.

The mystery of the Body of Christ and the many membered Sons of God, has been kept secret from the foundation of the world. The mystery of Christ, which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men. Even now this mystery is virtually unknown upon the earth, for it has been concealed from the masses of humanity. The god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

If you can perceive the possibility of this supreme spiritual destination, you are highly favored of God. Blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear. Though it will take unearthly courage, make this vision the sole enterprise of your time on this planet. For those who discover and attain the Sacred Secret of Christ, will become the Sons of God, and come to inherit all the excellence and capacity of their Father.

This is the plan of God and the hope of his calling. Let nothing stand in your way. Until we all attain to the unity of the Faith and of the experiential, full, and precise knowledge of the Son of God, to a spiritually mature man, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of the Christ. Ephesians 4:13 (Wuest).
